Photographing architectural exteriors is similar in many ways to photographing landscapes -- one must work with existing weather and lighting, as well as limitations presented by the surroundings in positioning the camera to illustrate the subject to best advantage. Below are several examples of the times I was able to do this successfully, with minimal adjustments to the images afterward. In another section, "Photographic Illustration," I explain how I compensate for less-than-optimal conditions by replacing skies, eliminating distractions, etc. |
