The visual stories I tell about architecture most often focus on its affective qualities -- those attributes that affect the emotional or psychological relationship between a building and the people who encounter it. Therefore, the way light interacts with a building is extremely important. In the early morning and late evening, the quality of light, and the way it interacts with a building, can be quite magical -- and elusive to capture photographically. But the images below illustrate the value of capturing architecture under such lighting conditions.
