Photographing architectural interiors is quite different from exteriors. The primary challenges have to do with the widely ranging color and intensity of light, which comes from many sources. For these reasons, interior photography is often done at night and with artificial lighting added by the photographer. However, because my specialty is "available light," and because I believe photographing in available light does a better job of capturing the ambiance designed by the architect or interior designer, I usually shoot during daylight hours (when necessary, I will shoot on weekends or holidays to avoid interfering with business). As you will see in these examples, I have developed many digital techniques for dealing with the available light and producing images that closely approximate what the human eye actually sees, which is often much different from what the camera records.
